Happy Hogs Farm

About our Hogs...

We believe that our pigs should be allowed to express themselves as they would in a natural habitat.
We have two pedigree Middle Whites sows and a British Lop, which is currently the rarest rare-breed pig in England. We also have two pedigree Berkshire gilts.

Piglets stay with their mothers until 8 weeks old, they are then weaned and remain in their family group.
Our pigs live a free-range lifestyle. They enjoy rooting around outside, relaxing in large huts with deep straw bedding, and wallowing in mud to cool themselves off during the summer.

We feed them on food that does not contain growth promoters and is free from GM products. This diet allows the pigs to mature at their own natural pace. Combined with our high standards of husbandry and welfare, this produces quality meat that is superior in taste, succulent and full of flavour, retaining the characteristics of "how pork used to taste".
